I’m all about women feeling sexy regardless of the ridiculous standards placed on them by society but Fergie.. no…

“Changing the acronym to Moms I’d Like to Follow is about empowering women who do it all,” she told reporters.

Okay.. but.. why are you all half naked bathing in milk? I applaud Chrissy Teigen breastfeeding her child in a public setting but did she have to look so…perfect?

And the milkman is objectifying her.. or is he finding beauty in what she’s doing..

milk

No he’s drooling milk..definitely objectifying…

I’m all about women claiming their sexy and empowering themselves but this.. this just seems..off.

One of the worst crimes is when a women objectifies herself and calls it empowerment. It’s a very very very thin line that some women unknowingly cross all the time. Heck, I may be guilty of it for all we know.

Worst part? It sets unexpectedly high standards for new mothers..

BUT applause for Fergie trying to challenge stereotypes.. Even if she does it poorly.

  1. Glad you’ve got an opinion, and willing to share it. It is definitely a question of personal values. And yes there’s something “off” about it.. Combining the natural act of breastfeeding and sexual attraction … It’s a thin line.
Personally I find the video hilarious, I love it. As a breastfeeding mom I know the struggles – still trying to feel like a woman and not just a mom. I think the idea of reclaiming your sexuality after birth is an incredibly powerful ideal; sexuality is just one of the many aspects that take a major back seat after childbirth.
Empowerment can take many forms, and being desired is one them.
